BODE Overspeed Governors

BODE have been manufacturing overspeed governors for over 70 years

BODE Overspeed Governors are type examined safety components for rope and hydraulically operated lifts complying with the EN 81-1 and EN 81-2 standards. Upon reaching the release speed set by BODE the governor wheel is blocked and the rope is wedged by means of a sheave groove made in form of a key groove.  This wedging activates the safety gear and the car comes to a standstill.

BODE overspeed governors can be used for both directions, i.e. in up and downwards travel

When using a double safety gear, a speed governor with a hardened sheave groove is required.

BODE overspeed Governors require no maintenance or service and come with a 5-year guarantee on their bearings.
